About Course

Grades 7-8:
In this first part, students will advance their Scratch programming skills with Qoopers. They’ll tackle more complex coding challenges, controlling Qoopers’ movements, lights, and sensors using Scratch. This course is designed to strengthen logical thinking and introduce intermediate-level programming concepts in a fun, interactive way.

RoboQuest: Engineering Adventures with Qoopers Robot

Embark on an exciting 18-week journey with the Qoopers Robot by Robobloq, designed for young innovators eager to explore the world of robotics, computer science, and faith. This course introduces middle school students to the basics of engineering concepts, hands-on design, and programming using Scratch. Through interactive missions, engaging games, and creative challenges, students will build and customize their own robot, while learning to program it to complete various tasks.

As they progress, students will dive into key computer science principles such as control statements, variables, and working with different sensors, all while reflecting on how their skills can be used to serve others, following the example of Jesus. They’ll explore how to use these concepts to control their robot’s movements, respond to environmental inputs, and solve real-world problems, just as Jesus used His wisdom to guide and help those around Him.

Throughout the course, students are encouraged to think about how their growing knowledge and talents can be a reflection of their faith, using technology to make a positive impact in the world. Whether it’s navigating obstacles, programming the robot to follow a line, or competing in robot battles, this course offers a comprehensive and fun-filled experience that blends creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and Christian values, all while laying a strong foundation for future STEM learning.
